You walk for a few minutes and turn right onto the small street of Taxco until you reach number 25. A large gate welcomes you; you enter. In front of you is a long hallway, cool and softly lit by sunlight. Here, nature is abundant, generous, and creates an intimate space. Some birds, a few lizards, and a roaming cat intermittently inhabit this gardened corridor. You enter through one of the doors and find yourself inside a spacious room, very generous in height, like those of old houses.
At the back of the building, a staircase invites you to go up, up towards the light, towards other experiences. You climb and see the sky. Light floods a large space: a big terrace. The staircase rises to where the architecture ends; the architecture ends where the sky begins.

Taxco 25 is a proposal that engages with neighborhood life and its various forms of traditional architecture. The project begins on a site featuring a protected heritage house in the functionalist style from 1940, characterized by clean lines and a gardened corridor that extends from the street, contributing to the architectural composition of the Roma Sur neighborhood. The architectural design draws inspiration from the lines and volumes of the functionalist style, adapting them to meet contemporary needs.
To offer a diversity of living options, five types of housing have been created: one listed house (A), three loft-style studios (B), and a two-level apartment (C). Each typology possesses its own unique style, and the open spaces can be customized according to individual preferences. Additionally, a special area provides luxury and comfort for tenants: the top floor of the building, which features a large terrace that serves as both a common roof garden and a private space.
