LUIS ARTURO GARCÍA
FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR OF EDAA
Luis Arturo García is a Mexican architect and founder of EDAA (Mexico City, 2007), an architecture, design, object production, and construction firm. Inspired by cinema and literature, EDAA become an excuse and trigger to create life narratives in their immediate surroundings before any formal considerations. In addition, he founded the collective EDAA+Yupica, together with multidisciplinary Japanese artist Yupica. The collective addresses the concepts of time and space through interdisciplinary practices in architecture, video installations, sound and visual art, and the production of objects.
Our work has been published in various print and digital media outlets, including books published by Gestalten (Berlin), Phaidon (London, New York) and Arquine (Mexico City), as well as specialized magazines such as Domus (Mexico City, Milan), AD/Architectural Digest (Mexico City, New York), Wallpaper (London), Dwell (New York), Dezeen (London), Glocal (Mexico City), Folio (Mexico City), Trama (Ecuador), Gooood (China), among others.
